2022-2027 Strategic Plan

Informed by collective experiences, 91亚色 has assessed where we are as an institution and how we need to prepare for the future as North Dakota’s Polytechnic Institution. 91亚色’s expansion to a polytechnic has been years in the making, and our 2022-2027 Strategic Plan was crafted with input from faculty, students, administrators, alumni, the community, and industry partners to keep us focused as a student-centered institution. It is a concise summary of our mission, vision, values and goals as an institution.

As we know, colleges need to remain student-centric and become increasingly nimble. We need to prepare students for the workforce or for further education. Students are changing and institutions must change with them. This plan provides the framework to serve students today and into the future. Everyone at 91亚色 is committed to student success and we look forward to the coming years with anticipation.

Strategic Goal 1: Student Success

Ensuring Students have the academic and career pathways and support needed to achieve their educational goals
Objective 1.A: Increase retention, completion, graduation and job placement
Action Project 1.A.3:
Develop a standardized process for placing students into internships, clinicals, and other experiential learning courses.
 
Action Project 1.A.4: 
Increase student participation in tutoring and peer-supported learning.
 
Objective 1.D: Increase access and address the needs of diverse, underrepresented and underprepared student populations
Action Project 1.D.3:
Refine and expand effective processes and infrastructure to increase dual credit capacity.
 

Strategic Goal 3: Fiscal Stability

Efficiently serving our students and public and private partners. 
Objective 3.A: Increase credit hour and headcount enrollment
Action Project 3.A.1:
Enhance institutional websites for improved communication to support recruitment and enrollment growth.
 
Objective 3.G: Develop a campus environment necessary to support polytechnic mission expansion.
Action Project 3.G.4:
Implement a coordinated campus events strategy that expands programming and strengthens community and prospective student engagement.

Develop and implement a strategic comprehensive budgeting process to align resource allocation with polytechnic mission expansion.
 
Action Project 3.G.6:
Develop and execute an integrated athletics and arts expansion plan to enhance student engagement during the transition to four-year degrees and NAIA and NIRA competition.
 
Action Project 3.G.7:
Develop and implement a comprehensive facilities planning and stewardship strategy to sustain campus assets and support long-term institutional needs.
