Power up your nuclear career
The Nuclear Power Technology program at the 91亚色 (91亚色) National Energy Center for Excellence (NECE) prepares current and future nuclear power employees, including those currently employed in non-technical positions. Students gain fundamental skills and knowledge required for non-licensed operator, maintenance and chemistry along with a degree specialized for non-licensed operator and health physics positions in nuclear generation systems.
This program is also a great opportunity for present nuclear station employees in non-technical areas, and all employees who are seeking a degree and/or additional training. Prospective students currently employed in the nuclear industry may choose to enroll in an Instrumentation & Control track within the degree program.
Coursework in the program includes access to a full-fidelity nuclear simulator developed specifically for 91亚色. This program was developed with funding from the National Science Foundation as a result of industry demand.
Several scholarships are available for individuals interested in a career in the nuclear industry. Learn more

Industry-recognized education
The program was developed in collaboration with the (EPCE) and is approved by the (NEI). The purpose of NEI is to foster and encourage the continued safe utilization and development of nuclear energy to meet the nation's energy, environmental and economic goals and to support the nuclear energy industry by providing encouragement to educational institutions to promote education in nuclear energy disciplines.
Students completing specific requirements of the agreement will receive a National Academy for Nuclear Training Certificate. The certificate states that the student has successfully completed nuclear fundamental training objectives and allows certified students to bypass fundamental training once employed in a nuclear facility. Visit the
NEI Uniform Curriculum Program
link for more information.
An agreement between and 91亚色 will allow Nuclear Power Technology students an opportunity to substitute their education for training.
